Last weekend, I explored some new designers in town who have been finding out ways to stand out by coming up with innovative styling ideas. I was electrified after seeing Namratha on Saturday who was wearing a neckpiece designed by a design graduate from Pearl Academy called Nanditha. I have noticed such neck pieces before but this one relates very closely to the tribal neck rings called “Dzilla” used by married women in Kayan tribe based at Burma. What is more interesting in this neckpiece is that this is completely hand-made and DIY. It is made out of approximately 3 metres of electric wire wrapped around her neck. An innovative idea that can be done by anyone at home and a great thing to carry on streets or party. I got into a electrical store and calculated the price which worked out to around Rs.80. The neckpiece is amazing and so is its price!
Statutory Warning: DO THIS AT HOME!!
